Personal Branding

Image
A personal brand is a relationship with you, an individual who exists separately from your company --- The process of personal branding involves finding your uniqueness, building a reputation on the things you want to be known for, and then allowing yourself to be known for them --- People sometimes don’t do business with companies, they do business with people they like. We have relationships based on trust and mutual connections --- There’s just something about a connection with a human being that creates a level of endearment and customer loyalty beyond any relationship a company could ever reach. The strong bonds people have with one another can’t be overestimated --- Are you a business owner or an intending business owner, when people know you, love you and trust you, they will surely patronize you. Knowing you may not be in person but as per what you've done and what you're doing --- I DESIGN I PRINT/PUBLISH I TRAIN and NURTURE ... a click will tell you more a...

THE POWER OF VOLUNTEERING

Image
And a brother reminded me of this picture  One thing you can never take away from a man that is hungry for success and relevance is volunteering There's a saying that your Network is your Networth and the only best and sure way to get that is through submitting and giving yourself to the service of another man's vision. Most of the noble personnel I have connect with overtime has been a product of selfless service and definitely I know they'll pay off one day. Volunteering for MISS TOURISM EKITI has been one of the tireless selfless service I've done but definitely it took me to many places and connected me with dignitaries in Ekiti State. Though I'm not an indigene, I'm more connected than some. Someone is saying 'people may take you for granted and probably over use you while volunteering' and I am saying YOU HAVE TO LOOSE YOURSELF IN THE SERVICE OF OTHERS BEFORE YOU CAN FIND YOURSELF. If it must take you to volunteer to get that connection...

Redirecting Your Leadership Focus

Image
I quite understand that people generally underestimate the weakness of human nature regardless of whatever position they hold. _Every human has one weakness or the other_ and it's easy to criticize people in leadership without looking at inwards. It is easy to point out the problem when you are not pointing to yourself! However, the goal of leadership is improvement and this must be the mindset of all leaders regardless of vocation or occupation. No movement, no leadership! _If I can't take you from Point A to Point B, then I'm not leading you_ . If I can't bring any improvement to your thinking, your approach, skills, business and life, I'm not leading you. As far as I'm concerned, Leadership is service and nothing more. _That I'm a leader doesn't mean I must be the smartest, richest, biggest or my ideas must be the best all the time._  I'm of the opinion that, the essence of leadership is to be a broker of talents among my team members....

YOU CAN ASK, BUT NEVER BEG

Image
“The strong individual is the one who asks for help when he needs it.” Rona Berett.  We all need help at one time or another and there is no crime asking for help anytime you need one. You don’t need help because you are poor or week, but you need help in order to remain strong. At every point of need, someone somewhere has been assigned by God to help you and it’s your duty to ask so as to be given.  A lot of people gave up their dreams just because they couldn’t get necessary assistance needed to fulfill such dreams. But I encourage you not to give up when you are turned down by those you expected to help you. May be they didn’t have what you need at such times. And you need to do is to make further attempts elsewhere. As much as you need help, make sure you don’t subject yourself to a nonentity or allow yourself to be ridiculed by anybody. You don’t deserve the help of anyone who sees your request as a burden or those who would treat you as a nonentity just because you need...

ARE YOU A LEADER?

Image
A leader is a servant to all. If you don't have a heart to serve others without looking for reward, you are not a leader If you stop doing good because nobody recognizes your kind gesture, you are not a leader If you see your followers making mistakes, but you keep quiet saying, "If they don't call me for advice, I will allow them learn by experience." Your attitude depicts that you are not a leader Do you have the Pull them Down syndrome? When you see someone doing better than you, what do you do, encourage or pull them down? _A genuine leader should not desire the downfall of his followers who are better than him_ _If you close doors for your subordinates because you are afraid they will be far better than you, you are not a leader_ If you don't produce your kind. You are the only champion doing great and mighty things, you are not a leader.  Never forget that every good leader must have a better successor. As a leader, you must feed on knowledge. Do...

THE BIG PICTURE IN LOCKDOWN

Image
In as much as COVID19 pandemic is regrettable by what it portends for inclement times , I also want to say it can also be a blessing in disguise. Brainstorming with a friend, we came to the conclusion that this is the best time to ask ourselves serious questions so as to reinvent oneself. If you have been working for a company for more than 5yrs and you don't have 100k savings ... You need to think If you have been doing a particular hustle for more than 5yrs and notting to show for it.. You need to think.  If you've spent one month at home under Lockdown drawing from your reserves without cash inflows from other sources...... YOU NEED TO THINK. IF You've spent 30 days at home browsing the internet, responding to greetings in Facebook, looking up pictures in Instagram, watching YouTube videos, responding to WhatsApp chats, calling everyone and nobody is calling you.... . YOU NEED TO THINK. IF you've spent 30 days at home eating delicacies, drinking choice win...

MR ANONYMOUS THE TABLE TURNER

Image
Good day world changer  I bring you greetings in this pressing time from my humble abode  As much as I do not want to partake in the trending ANONYMOUS message flying all over the air, so also is the effect won't stop reflecting back and drawing my attention more closer and this has ignited me to drop my view We often say that 'for every action we take as individuals, there is always a reflection of our actions at a later time and season in life!' and so, many pay less or no attention to this as they live their lives with the ignorant conviction that nobody is watching and with "IT IS MY LIFE" ideology  What will people say about you after you cease to exist on planet earth has been a common and general question we do ask but reverse is the case as MR ANONYMOUS turns the table around to be WHAT IS PEOPLE SAYING ABOUT ME WHILE I'M STILL ALIVE I stumbled on different anonymous messages and to some, I laughed, to some, I gave accolades and to some, I ...

COMPARISM

Image
Comparison  or  comparing  is the act of evaluating two or more things by determining the relevant, comparable characteristics of each thing, and then determining which characteristics of each are similar tothe other, which are different and to what degree. Where characteristics are different, the differences may then be evaluated to determine which thing is best suited for a particular purpose. The description of similarities and differences found between the two things is also called a comparison. Comparison can take many distinct forms, varying by field: Many atimes as human, we compare ourselves with our fellow human and in doing this, it most times cause us more harm than good 7 REASONS WHY YOU MUST AVOID UNHEALTHY COMPARISON 1. INFERIORITY COMPLEX: When it seems what others have are better than what you have, you won't appreciate things you have anymore because of inferiority complex.  2. COMPETITIVE JEALOUSY: In an attempt to be like othe...

BECOMING A BARRIER BREAKER

Image
The story of Roger Bannister is an inspiring example of a barrier breaking personality. During the first half of the twentieth century, many sports experts believed that no runner could run a mile in less than four minutes. And for a long time they were right.  But then on May 6, 1954, British runner and university student Roger Bannister ran a mile in 3 minutes 59.4 seconds during a competition in Oxford. Less than two months later, another runner, Australian John Landy, also broke the four-minute barrier.  Then suddenly dozens and then hundreds of others broke it. Why? Because Roger Bannister was determined to change the order of thing by breaking a long-standing barrier of self-limitation, and they all began to adopt the mind-set and belief of those who had broken the barrier.  Bannister’s attitude and actions compounded when exposed to others. His attitude spread. Today, every world-class runner who competes at that distance can run a mile in less than fou...

Increasing Your Value Before Anyone

Image
I got into a discussion this morning with a Corps member who was having issues with her boss at work on a powerful secret that affects the progress of many in life. I got into a the discussion and asked her "if someone meets you and ask you about Mr. Abiodun of so so so, would you have something to say?", and her answer was yes. I pressed further what she would say if she was asked. She then mentioned that "I will say  He is hardworking ". Like really! How do you know that? I created an impression on her mind when we met for the first time speaking for only about 10 minutes. That is just an example of how the first impression we make on people's mind go a long way to determine what people perceive of us and how valuable we are.   Darling, we can create an impression in 2 seconds that people can carry for up to 2 years. You can create a bad impression in 2 minutes but need 2 years to change it When you go before people, always remember their impressio...
